Every airline sets its own carry-on dimensions and weight — even within IATA's recommended 56×36×23 cm baseline, low-cost carriers often enforce stricter limits like Ryanair's 40×20×25 cm free bag or Wizz Air's 40×30×20 cm. Boarding-gate agents do measure, and a bag that fails at the gate gets checked at peak fees (often £45–£75). This tool compares the dimensions you enter against the published limits for 99 carriers worldwide so you know which fares to avoid before you book.
⚠️ Airlines publish a single "max" but enforcement varies — gate agents on a full LCC flight may measure your bag in the sizer, while business-class on a major flag carrier often waves you through. Always pack a little under the limit if you can, and verify online check-in size if your bag is borderline.
