Allowed in both. Note: traditional snus (tobacco-containing) is banned for sale in most of the EU except Sweden — personal import rules vary.
Personal use generally allowed in carry-on/checked, but commercial sale of snus is banned outside Sweden. Don't bring quantities that look commercial.
BANNED for sale in the UK under Tobacco for Oral Use (Safety) Regulations 1992. Personal possession in small quantities tolerated; sale + supply illegal. Use snus alternatives (nicotine pouches without tobacco) instead.
Banned for sale in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico (all under WHO FCTC tobacco harm-reduction restrictions). Personal possession tolerated; commercial import illegal.
BANNED in several key Asian markets: Singapore (illegal to import, sell or use — fines from S$2,000), Hong Kong, Thailand (banned 2010 — possession can mean jail), India (banned nationwide as chewing-tobacco regulation 2019). Australia: ALL oral smokeless tobacco BANNED nationwide since 1991 — possession and import illegal, fines from AU$1,200. NZ: snus banned for retail sale, personal import generally tolerated in small quantities but technically prohibited. Do NOT bring to Australia.
