EU carry-on rules (EASA) — what you can and can't bring
Authority: EASA
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) sets the security baseline for all departures from EU airports. Liquids in carry-on follow the 100 ml rule with all containers fitting in a single transparent 1-litre bag. Spare lithium batteries up to 100 Wh are unlimited in carry-on; 100–160 Wh need airline approval. EU customs entry rules also restrict meat, dairy and many plant products from outside the EU.
⚠️ Rules vary by airport, airline and route. This page summarises common guidance from EASA — always confirm with your specific airline before flying, especially for international travel.
